This is a special camp; not solely for its impressive longevity, but because of the adventures shared on this pond, the stories told around these fires, and its role as a keystone within the adolescent years of countless Scouts. The pond, waterfront tower, and bell tower serve as three visual “points” to honor what has made Camp Three Point thrive this last century.
There is a thick air of nostalgia, dreaming, and reminiscing about one’s time on the pond. The pond is a rare constant in a world that is always changing. While much of the camp’s infrastructure has come and gone, the lake remains unchanged and untouched. Scouts swimming and gazing out towards the sunset pose moments of reflection and imagination — inviting present and former campers to pause and reflect on their own time in this place.
To see the landscape! What young mind wouldn’t be full of wonder and adventure among these trees? Dense greenery and foliage convey a place overflowing with life. When was the last time you caught a glimpse of “Danny the Deer?" What adventures do you remember most fondly? What adventures still lie ahead for the Scouts at Camp Three Point?
